Abstract

The difference in washing stages between manual and injection results in clarity of the anatomical picture. The injection washing process can be carried out even if not in a dark room, whereas the manual washing process can only be carried out in a dark room. This study aims to determine the quality of informative dental radiographs to confirm the diagnosis between manual washing and injection processes

The type of research used was quantitative experimental experimental methods carried out at Dr. Hospital. Reksodiwiryo Padang in November 2024. The sample consisted of 3 people using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 35 respondents, namely radiographers

The data obtained was then processed using the SPSS application with bivariate Wilcoxon test analysis. The statistical test results in this study obtained the highest average value of 12.08, namely the Manual Washing Process, and an average value of 11.64 for the Injection Washing process, this shows that the manual washing process is more informative for establishing a diagnosis compared to the washing process. Injections are less informative for establishing a diagnosis.
